Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 driver, known for his impressive car collection valued at about $17.3 million, seems to be changing his priorities.

Although he has owned iconic models like the Pagani Zonda 760, McLaren P1, and classics from the 1960s, the British driver recently revealed that he now invests more in art than in new vehicles.

When asked about the F80, Ferrari’s latest model, the team he will join in F1 next year, Hamilton admitted he hasn’t seen the car up close and commented that his current focus is on exploring the art world.

This shift in interest, according to Hamilton, is linked to his desire to support artists, especially Black artists from Africa, as well as his growing taste for art. He mentioned that the last car he bought was the Mercedes-Benz ONE, and since then, he has preferred to direct his investments toward art.

“Of course, I’m always keeping an eye on cars, seeing what’s being launched. But honestly, most cars today look very similar to each other. Something is missing. It’s the classic cars that interest me. If I were to buy another car, it would likely be a classic because of the noise, the emotion. There aren’t many brands that can capture that. That emotion. It’s not the same. Or maybe I’m just getting old”
